Japan has stated that they may intercept the “satellite” that North Korea is scheduled to launch between April 4th and April 8th. Experts from Japan, the US, as well as South Korea all agree that the satellite launch is a disguise for the testing of the Taepodong 2 ballistic missile. This missile could reach the United States. North Korea threatened Japan stating, “If Japan recklessly intercepts the DPRK’s satellite for peaceful purposes, the KPA (Korean People’s Army) will mercilessly deal deadly blows not only at the already deployed intercepting means but at major targets”
First and foremost, lets discuss the capabilities of North Korea. Could North Korea stand a chance in an airborne war against Japan? Would the nation actually retaliate if Japan intercepts the North Korea test missile?
The thing that is ironic to me is that North Korea continually denies that they are firing a test missile. They are sticking to their story of a “satellite” even though military experts around the globe have confirmed it to be a test missile. Experts from Japan have stated that the launch could be as early as Saturday while US experts have confirmed stating a launch could take place this weekend. What do you think will happen when North Korea launches their test missile? Will Japan actually intercept this missile? Could we be looking at a war between Japan and North Korea? Honestly I just don’t see a full-blown war breaking out. If Japan intercepts the missile, I don’t believe that North Korea will respond with force.
