Discovering if the Soldiers Feel the Iraq War is Moral

Iraq War
When talking to a soldier about how they feel on the Iraq war, many will respond differently. The opinions of the soldiers that are there vary just as greatly as the opinions of those civilians that are here at home in the United States. Discovering if the soldiers feel the Iraq war is moral or not is often a topic of great discussion and in some instances should be handled with great care. Many of the soldiers that signed up to join any force of United States military knows what they are in for prior to joining the military. Most of the soldiers that are in Iraq at this time feel as though the Iraq war is frivolous and is deemed as unnecessary. There is no denying that no one likes to have to be in a war, but when the calls to duty are needed our soldiers are the first in line to defend our country as well as ourselves. It can be argued that most soldiers do not agree with war and find it morally wrong, but often justify it as being a part of their job. They often feel as though they know what the job requirements are, whether they are good or bad, and if there is any disagreement to the requirements, the soldier will decline to enlist the military. For the most part however, the soldiers that are in Iraq know they are is a job that needs to be done and will remain there to complete their duties whether they feel it is morally acceptable or not. That being said, it is an unspoken role that soldiers do not question authority and merely act upon the orders that are given to them whether they agree or not.

Except for extremists, it can be said that there are many people that do not like war. Asking how a soldier feels about the war should be handled carefully as many soldiers have been traumatized from the events that they have experienced in seen. It can more than likely be said that many soldiers feel as though the Iraq war is not moral and should be stopped immediately with a gradual troop pullout as soon as possible. The overall goal of any war is not so much to create a massacre of the enemies land, but to they get the job done to bring all of the troops home safely.
