Did you know that the Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water? Maybe it’s time we adopt their drinking habits while eating. Although it’s nice to have a cold drink after a meal, however, the cold water will solidify the oily substances in foods that we eat. It will slow down the digestion. Once this “sludge” reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food, it lines the intestine. Very soon it turns into fats and lead to cancer and other problems. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

The reason asians are slimmer is because of their high protein seafood diet along with rice at EVERY meal. It keeps you fuller longer. as for the healthy part of asians drinking hot drinks the teas that they drink are very rich in antioxidents. When you drink cold or hot drinks before after or during meals no matter what before it reaches your intestines it is body temperature, the colder your drink the more your metabolism speeds up. Not to mention does anyone remember anytime they felt solid icecubes inside their stomach? I don't. For example this is how ridiculous this is, take a cold chocolate candy and put it in your mouth....it melts! Not only is this completely false its not backed by ANY medical logic. Do research before you go changing your habits.
