I think it is a good thing to thank our service people. It is too bad we cannot do more. Everytime there is a mailing going out in our area we try to take what they ask for to be shipped over to the troops.

My church puts together a care package of cookies, and snacks ( that are able to stay edible in the heat) along with other things that are useful to them.

Agreed. They are serving their country in a hellish place, and paying the ultimate price many times.
