Default Hello

Hi, I'm new to this forum and would like to introduce myself. I am really confused about the Military's actions as of what I have read, and my own personal experiences. I've not seen or heard or even read anything that shows this war in Iraq is in anyway favorable to this Country. If it has do let me know. I've read of deaths of men, women, children, disabled for life, damaged mentally and emotionally. Nothing good, nothing in favor of continuing this situation. Our country is now more endebted to other countries now because this war is costing so much money, which will open the door to our being subjected to their laws one day. I'm really concerned about our country and how the Military is being conducted. Troops are being deployed and not prepared for battle, too young, not experienced mentally or emotionally, not combat experienced. 6 weeks basic training is not long enough to properly train anyone to be placed in combat zone. What about our choices for President? What is wrong when the Vice President refuses to run for Presidenticy? I'm just a little bothered about our Country's current and long lived situation.

I would first like to welcome you to the form, and secondly you make some very good points. Very vaild points on the these subjects, it makes me wonder what's going on, what is being done and I agree with you, that out troops don't get enough training in general, especially to fight in a war. If you have an opinion or you can answer some questions, please do.
