Question need info please

Hi my son is almost 18 and thought he wanted to sign up for the Army reserves, he just went down for his medical and tests, and was kind of pressured in to signing up whilst he was there, now he has decided this is nto what he wants and is really panicing over what he has done.
Is he able to get out of this signing up? or will he now have to go through with the 6 years he has signed up for??

I would suggest contacting an army recruiter in a different area and asking them what your options are. We here in this office are not sure what you can do.
Good Luck!

It depends. Has he already sworn in? Nothing is 100% final until he gets on that bus that takes him to the airport. However, he may just be having cold feet. I joined at 17 and it was the best thing personally, that I ever did. My husband joined at 18. The life is not for everyone, and if he is really worried about what he has done, have him talk to the CO for the recruiting station he DEP-ed into.

We here in our office hear of this sort of scenario often. It seems to go across all the branches of the military, but I guess there are some recruiters out there who are "hard core", and there are also many young people who feel pressured, perhaps even when they are not being pressured at all. How did it turn out for your son petron?
