Default Medical disqualifications for Coast Guard

Recently applied to the Coast Guard. Was medically disqualified based on medical pre-screening. The recruiter told me that I had too many medical problems. H/O seizure age 7. Was on preventative medication for 1 year, had follow up normal EEG and do***ented proof of no further seizures since. Also was diagnosed with Asthma/RAD and miagranes age 7 and 8. Was treated, taken off medication, and no furter problems since age 11. Have supplied all medical do***entaton and letters from 3 seperate physicians certifiying none of these conditions have been recurring, or required any treatment since 1997. (I am now 19 years old). Have looked up medical disqualifications on the DOD directive 6130.3 and 6130.4 and according to this none of these problems should be a disqualification. Have told my recruiter that I want to file an appeal and he is willing to do so, but states that he does not believe I will be accepted. Any suggestions, or has anyone had similar problems and any luck with the appeal process?

Sounds they certainly aren't going to make it easy for you are they? Haven't had any experiences such as this, but do keep us posted. Any ideas out there?
