Default Halo3

Why in the hell are you Army personnel advertising Halo3 for the US Army when they are US Marines? Does Call of Duty **** that bad that you can't use that game instead to try and recruit youngsters?!

Question

US Army is promoting a Sniper School tournament by using Halo 3 online gaming on XBOX Live. Halo characters are US Marines. The main character of the game is Masterchief which is a naval rank. Just curious how you could get away with promoting another branch of service as your own.
