Default master sergeant

I like to know if US Army as any policy about veteran soldiers from foreign country,
I explain,I serve 527 days in the Swiss Army last rank master sergeant you can compare that
to US Mountain Infantry but with a better training:-)
however there is anyway to skip or reduce the time of US basic training
or my previous military experiences it doesn't count?

Oh,by the way, I'm US Citizen now

are you in the US now? if you are, the best thing to do is to call a recruiter in your area. They will have specific information about whether or not you will be eligible to skip certain parts of the training etc... I know that within the us military branches, there are many situations where a person with prior service can skip certain aspects of training that he/she may have completed before - it just depends on a bunch of different cir***stances. So we are not sure how it would work with prior service from another country, but it would be worth the phone call to find out! You can find recruiters in your area if you do a google for your town or region.

Good Luck to you!

Default prior foreign service

We have a guy, prior service Italian Army, in our Air Force Special Tactics Squadron. He's an operator, just like a native born. The Citizenship is the key factor. If you're interested in skiing and climbing, that's one of our primary missions. PM me if you can commute to the Pacific Northwest(Portland), 4 times a year for drill
