Coast Guard seizes cocaine off Nicaragua

United States and Nicaraguan authorities seized 1.5 tons of cocaine off the northern Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, local media reported Thursday. The US Coast Guard captured the load, which was reportedly abandoned by drug dealers being chased off the coast by US and Nicaraguan boats. The four speedboat occupants threw the drugs and weapons overboard before escaping.
