Any info on Normandy

I am a 4th grade student . I am doing my expert project on the invasion of Normandy. Anyone out there willing to talk to me about what it was like? What happened? I have done a ton of research, but I would like to get the view of someone who was there. I love the military and am so proud of all our soldiers and veterans. Mom does all my Christmas shopping at the Army Navy Surplus. I need some new BDUs, I just outgrew my last ones. Anyway, if you can help me, I would love to listen. Thanks.

Well most of us here are not that old but I'm sure you could find someone surviving somewhere to tell you about it. My uncle was at Iwo Jima and i loved some of the stories he had to tell.

You might try contacting some of the local veterans' organizations or google something like "survivors of normandy" Good luck to you!!
