CHECK OUT BEST AUTO HOME LOAN RATES HERE!

Here is a quick list of 15 military jobs that are in high demand and offer the possibility of excellent enlistment bonuses because they are high priority. Enlistment bonuses are offered by the Army as a monetary incentive for qualified individuals enlisting in the active Armed Forces. Many of these MOS’s do not require additional training, so they offer an excellent opportunity for enlistment bonuses and other bonuses from the military.

1 – Fire Support Specialist
2 – Petroleum Supply Specialist
3 – Tactical Data Systems Specialist for Field Artillery
4 – Crypto Linguist-Analyst
5 – Motor Transport Operator
6 – Cavalry Scout
7 – Specialist for Explosive Ordnance Disposal
8 – Cannon Crewmember
9 – Crewmember for Multiple Launch Rocket Systems

10 – Food Service Operations
11 – Radar Operator for Field Artillery
12 – Systems Operator and Maintainer of Satellite Communications Systems
13 – Infantryman
14 – Special Forces Candidate
15 – Control, Communications as well as Air Defense Command, Intelligence Tactical Operations and Computers Center Operator and Maintainers.

All miltary jobs today are in high demand relative to domestic employment rates. To get the best jobs and highest pay becoming a military officer is highly recommended.

On career that is should be mentioned in addition to special forces is that of a Navy Seal. There are only a select number of BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition Seal Training) candidates per year. Training is located in Coronado CA and approximately six months long. That is of course, if you do not become injured and have to ‘row back’ to the next class. Needless to say, Seal team members deserve and receive additional pay for ‘jumps’ and ‘explosives’. To qualify for BUDS you must first past a qualifying test consisting of running, swimming and pull ups. Not an easy task nor for the faint at heart. However if you’re so lucky to graduate Navy BUDS training, the benefits will last forever.

military dot image Adam    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Tim Fender get in contact with a recruiter but don’t go strait to navy, marines, or army. Visit them all and see what they have to offer when you find the career you want. I am currently in the process of picking between navy and army for a combat medic but I have yet to decide which is my best option.

military dot image Scott    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

@ Adam….. If you decide to go combat medic in the Army then it will be very difficult to make it past e-4. That job is the hardest to get promoted in all of the Army. Ask your recruiter what the promotion points for E-5 are for that MOS and look how many people are currently qualified for promotion, but they can’t get promoted. Up to e-4 is automatic after that there is a point system to get promoted and you can ask your recruiter about that. I hope this helps! A lot of what you see on the pictures and videos aren’t what you actually do on a day to day basis. You really need to do some research.

military dot image milagros    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

i have a cousin who was a fire support specialist in the army. he got promoted really fast in less than 3 years. all he had was high school and he also went to art institute in ny

military dot image Andy    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Hello!! Whats up with Fire Support Specialist?? I am ready to enlist and I talked to my recruiter about getting that MOS just about 2 weeks ago and he said that it is really hard to get it because most of the people stay in that MOS…so is he not telling me the truth? because I will love to have that MOS can someone please reply to this? thank you.

military dot image lucas lau    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

hey scott what is the different things you do in the e-4 and e-5

military dot image Dave Golladay    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Andy in Air Force it was/ is? called Fire Protection Specialist ( fire-fighter). Fire support could be fire-fighter or may have something to do with calling in fire support for artillery. Call a recruiter or look online at job descriptions.

“CRYPTO-LINGUIST Analyst”. If you score high enough on the ASVAB this is the job you pick! I am an ARMY veteran, joined in 1989 as a reservist and a year later went active duty. Took a break in service for 2 years after my mom died and joined again. LOVED it!….hard work!…but LOTS of rewards! Definitely will not get this experience on civilian side of the house. Linguist is like a translator. All different categories in this job. “Crypto” means in writing. You will take a “D-Lab” test to see if you can pick up a foreign language. If you pass that test, then they send you to Monterey California for school. If you get on as an “Interagator”?…you will go to a few more schools. :-) PERFECT job if you want to step out after enlistment into the CIA, FBI, Intelligence fileds. I turned down Linguist school ( I was young and dumb), went medical, laboratory and then applied for CYTOLOGY school (Look for cancer). LOTS of jobs, you can apply for different ones if you find you don’t like the one you chose. Takes a few years to change jobs, but persistance is the key. NEVER take “NO” for an answer. Like other person said. DO YOUR RESEARCH. Talk to someone who is IN…the military first. “IN” the job you are looking at in the BRANCH of service you are looking at. ALL are different. Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines…..for me?….duty assignments and duty stations. JOBS you do…and where you LIVE when you are doing your job. Airforce and Navy have the “SWEETEST” duty locations!!!!!….by FAR!….Navy by the water…Airforce?…just have the cream of the crop locations. Airforce military personnel get treated better. “WE” call them civilians in uniform. ;-) But then again, I say, I was ARMY for close to 15 years. I love/loved the ARMY. HOO-AHH!……wish you the best of luck in all your choices.

military dot image Linda Cytologist    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Another thing…medical field?….hard to get promoted in “most’ jobs (MOS’s). ARMY like a pyramid. More people in INFANTRY for example, people get promoted left and right. Young guys promoted to E-5, E-6, E-7 in few years. If Medical job?….it takes ALOT longer. NOT AS MANY people in medical field. NOt as many places to move up due to people staying in their jobs. SOrry to say?…we lose more people in the “INFANTRY” than in the Medical field. Plain math. Lose people?…then that clears a spot for the next person to move up. Promotion points are so, so, so much lower in the INFANTRY than in the Medical MOS’s. An Infantry soldier can get promoted to next grade with as low as 400 points. Maximum points are 900. Medical MOS’s?….I sat at 898 for a very long time, maxed out on just about everything. No promotion. Had to wait for points to drop one, two, five points to get picked up for next higher rank.
Depends on what you are looking for when you join. A career?…promotion?…a job?….benefits?….excitement?…..ability to step out after enlistment and step right into same job on “outside” (civilian world)…pick carefully. If you join Infantry?….what kind of job are you going to do when your enlistment/retirement is up? Does civilian world have jobs for “INFANTRY” guys?….yes…security guards…etc….choose wisely.

military dot image Chris    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Just want to say point only go to 800 max for any MOS just wanted to put that out there so i dont know how you got 898 but good job lol

I have a journeyman plumbers license. Do I get a bonus if i join the army?

military dot image 19D Scout    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

no, your plumbers license means nothing. but you may get a bonus depending on which MOS you choose. I joined as a scout almost 2 years ago exactly, and there was nothing for a bonus. After I get back from Iraq a few months ago, we started getting young new guys who were getting 3-6k, and they’re scouts too. so it’s just going to depend on what the army may need..luck of the draw.

military dot image James Ferreira    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Im surpised that medics aren’t in the top 15 maybe 20? I’m current a EMT civilian and want to be a nurse later on but being a ARMY medic would be nice too. That would look great on a resume. Money shouldn’t be the reason to join the military cause if you pick aomething for money and die you cant enjoy it. You should pick something that you can use after the military. I heard after being active college classes are out the question unless you go take online classes. what has the best medic programs in the military cause everyone is tell me ARMY treats you like dogs I dont mind traveling if I decide one active duty, should I finish school or take a break and come back at 30 after 3 years active to go to school again?

military dot image Colton    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I Received a [72] on the A.S.V.A.B. i’m planning on joining the U.S. Army after high school…Currently a 17Yr old MALE Senior… I Was enroled in AFJROTC for 2 1/2 years…

P>S. im also considering college ROTC before i enlist… but again i’m indecisive to what would be best for my future…

[PLEASE REPLY ASAP] DON’T hesitate to give me some extra pointers and

It was working well, but in a two story townhouse, carrying it up and down the stairs
was proving to be challenging. I have to say though, the Bissell
Cleanview II is the best I’ve owned so far. Three-Stage Filter System A family with allergies who lives in a house with cats needs a
sweeper that can pick up dirt, dust particles
and cat fur.

Here is my web site … bissell cleanview bagless accessories

military dot image PJ    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I strongly disagree. The Air Force Pararescue also known as PJ are the toughest around. Navy SEALs have a 70% D.O.R Pararescue has a 90% D.O.R. Pararescue go through more challenging tasks for training and in combat. I can tell you from experience.

military dot image larryf    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I’ve done cross training with PR (or PJ) and agree great team. Comparing for bragging rights leads to no where especially when each group have DORs for many varied reasons. For example, a first grader could not pass a high school literature composition class but does not make the first grader any less powerful or more worthy. I encourage you to share more about the Air Force Pararescue mission. Again, great team! Above all, thank you for your service!!

military dot image Tessa E    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Im a senior in High school looking to become a marine as soon as i graduate but im not sure what to do for mos should i go into an open contract or would that be a bad idea?

hey Tessa, great question for your marine recruiter. Have you spoken to her/him yet? If not, great timing as a HS senior.

military dot image Ace Reyes    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

I am currently on the DEP with the Army and the job I wanted and qualified for is 11b (infantryman). But my recruiters didn’t say anything about bonuses, but they did tell me about airborne bonuses.

military dot image tfoster    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Is this still currently the 15 high demand jobs ? Im thinking of joing the army marines or navy.

military dot image Donnovan    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

hey,

So i want to join the military ( Army or Navy) and the idea is to get experience for law enforcement. Im not a US Citizen but i do have my permanent resident card. I have A BA in criminal justice and i just talked to a recruiter and he told me to chose a job but also that i may not be able to get the jobs that require security clearance since I’m not a US citizen. can any one help me or guide me on what route to take? I’m also married and no kids.

military dot image Stephanie v    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

My son is 17yrs old he took the asvab and scored a 70 over all his score were high and is able to apply for any job
in military the army is already at my door trying to get me to sign my son wanted to do this since he was 4yrs old it hard with no understanding of how the military works

military dot image larryf    Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Congrats to your son. Research online and talk to as many Army personnel as possible. Ask the recruiter if he can visit an Army base that he may be attending at his chosen school. If not, visit any Army base and research online.
