Deciding to join the military is a huge step. All to ask, which military branch the best? Every military branch has its own unique features. Army As the oldest branch of the U.S. Military, the Army protects the security of the United States and its resources. It is the largest of the military branches and maintains a strong ‘ground’ game. However, they have some of the favorite toys that fly in the sky like the Apache helicopter. Such aircraft provides strong ground support.

Army Reserve The Army Reserve trains part-time near home until needed, deploying alongside the Army. The reserves are perfect for someone who has a full-time job at home but would like to be available to their country in times of need.

Army National Guard Army National Guard members deploy with the Army on a part-time basis, with a special focus on homeland security and relief programs.

Marine Corps The smallest branch of the U.S. Military, the Marine Corps is often first on the ground in combat situations. The Marines are extraordinary faithful and usually the first to hit the beaches during battle. They are very physical and one-on-one considered the most strenuous training.

Marine Corps Reserve Marine Corps reservists train domestically until needed, then deploy with the rest of the Corps.

Navy The Navy defends the right to travel and trade freely on the world’s oceans, and protects national interests overseas. The Navy offers strong technical training as well as solid aviation careers. In the last decade, the Navy SEALS have captured much of the public eye following the killing of Bin Ladin. Due to ISIS and other terrorist groups the need for special forces training to America’s allies continue to abound. Unfortunately, terrorism is likely to be around for a long while.

Air Force The U.S. Air Force protects American interests at home and abroad with a focus on air power. With little argument, the Air Force offers superior aviation training and the one branch that runs itself like a corporate 500 organization. Air Force Reserve The Air Force Reserve gives servicemembers the opportunity to train and serve on a part-time basis, as needed.
Air Guard The Air Guard trains part-time to assist in domestic disasters and international conflicts.

Which Military Branch Is Right For You?

In summation, which military branch is for you? Again, it comes down to your individual talents, your goals and personality. I dare say, although important, don’t rely on past family experiences along. You are unique. Don’t dare enlist without knowing the civilian aspects of your military training. Think and plan for the short term and long term. Your military training is an investment for your whole life not only for you, but your family. Do your research. Talk not just to one recruiter, but several. Compare one career path from one branch to another. This I can promise, whatever military branch career path that you choose, will dictate a powerful course and land map for your life in the near and long term future.
