You also get the chance to get the career training which will allow you to have the kind of life you have always dreamed of. Because of all of the families which are brought into the Navy as well as families which grow in the Navy, it is not shocking that there is a program which allows fathers to take time off when their spouse gives birth.

The Nature of the Program

This program was actually devised for the entire military force to take advantage of. The FY Defense authorization of 2009 has been used first by the United States Navy, but it is something which all branches of the military can utilize. Because of the push to create a tighter bond between enlisted personnel and their families, it is not a surprise that the Navy is the first branch to use the program.
