No matter if you are new to the military or have served in the past, the National Guard offers an excellent pay scale. Your earnings are based on your job, education level, and rank. The longer you stay in the Guard the better chance you have of moving up the ranks. As you do so, your earnings will increase.

There are four ways in which you can earn as a member of the National Guard:

– Active Duty Pay: during training or deployment
– Drill Pay: one weekend per month
– Annual Training Pay: two weeks during the year
– Enlisted and Officer Pay: as you move up the ranks of the National Guard your paychecks will grow

National Guard Pay Scale – Active Duty Pay

As an active duty soldier in the National Guard you will be compensated based on your job, education level, and rank. If you want to earn more, all you have to do is spend enough time in the National Guard so that you can move up the ranks.

E-1 Private: $1,357 – $1,467 monthly active duty pay

E-2 Private: $1,645 – $1,645 monthly active duty pay

E-3 Private First Class: $1,730 – $1,950 monthly active duty pay

E-4 Specialist/Corporal: $1,915 – $2,326 monthly active duty pay

E-5 Sergeant: $2,091 – $2,965 monthly active duty pay

E-6 Staff Sergeant: $2,281 – $3,533 monthly active duty pay

E-7 Sergeant First Class: $2,638 – $4,740 monthly active duty pay

E-8 Master Sergeant: $3,794 – $5,411 monthly active duty pay

E-9 Sergeant Major: $4,635 – $7,196 monthly active duty pay

Drill Pay

E-1 Private: $182 – $ 196 two day drill pay

E-2 Private: $219 – $ 219 two day drill pay

E-3 Private First Class: $231 – $260 two day drill pay

E-4 Specialist/Corporal: $256 – $310 two day drill pay

E-5 Sergeant: $279 – $395 two day drill pay

E-6 Staff Sergeant: $304 – $471 two day drill pay

E-7 Sergeant First Class: $351 – $632 two day drill pay

E-8 Master Sergeant: $505 – $721 two day drill pay

E-9 Sergeant Major: $618 – $959 two day drill pay

Annual Training Pay

E-1 Private: $632 – $683 annual training pay

E-2 Private: $766 annual training pay

E-3 Private First Class: $806 – $908 annual training pay

E-4 Specialist/Corporal: $892 – $1,084 annual training pay

E-5 Sergeant: $974 – $1,382 annual training pay

E-6 Staff Sergeant: $1,063 – $1,647 annual training pay

E-7 Sergeant First Class: $1,223 – $2,210 annual training pay

E-8 Master Sergeant: $1,769 – $2,523 annual training pay

E-9 Sergeant Major: $2,161 – $3,356 annual training pay

Hi, My name is april thomas and I’m ready to prove to myself that I CAN handled the responsibility of raising my two daughters. My family is all military. I posponed my desires to serve when i got pregnat with my first daughter in 2008, Now that I have my second daughter, I am at a burden finacially supporting them both. I want to finally prove myself honorable; to my family and my country. My family has always served. The army has raised me. Now I want it to help raise my own family.

If im just joining what would be pay for the one weekend a month. Can somebody explain what i would be getting myself into pay wise and training

ok is this for the people that only do a weekend a month is that still how much you get a month or is it different if you arejust part time
