Has your time in the United States Military come to an end? Are you ready to move on with the rest of your life? Upon leaving the Military, some people consider going back to school. On the other hand, there are those who are ready to take their skills and experience and hit the ground running.

As you search for a post military career, it is essential that you find a position that you will enjoy. Of course, you also want to earn as much money as possible. Although you were probably earning a good living in the Military, you have the chance to earn much more now that you are in the civilian employment sector.

Tip: those who are enlisting in the Military for the first time should think about which jobs pay the most now and upon completion of service.

It is never easy to transition from Military life to a civilian job. However, the more money you are earning the better you will feel about yourself.

If you are looking for a high paying civilian job, consider one of the following options.

Program Manager, Aviation

If you have the experience and skills to work as a Program Manager in the Aviation or Aerospace industry, you are on pace to earn a good living while also doing something you love. As a project manager, it is your responsibility to make sure that everything comes together and runs smoothly day after day.

Your Military experience, combined with a college degree, will put you in position to land this high paying job.

Approximate salary: $90,000

Management Consultant

Are you the type of person who can help a company operate with a high level of efficiency? Were you successful in doing so during your time in the Army, for example? If so, you want to look into becoming a Management Consultant. Your Military experience is sure to pay off as you begin to apply for positions in this field.

Most management consultants have a degree in business, finance, engineering, or mathematics.

Senior Systems Engineer

The technical skills that you learned in the Military can really come in handy if you want to work as a Senior Systems Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to setup, organize, and work with computer networks. As an engineer, you must have a detailed understanding of both software and hardware.

Although you can earn a good living as a Senior Systems Engineer, with the right training and experience you can eventually move onto the position of IT director – this allows you to earn even more money.

Security Consultant

As somebody who served in the Military, you are well aware of the importance of security. As a security consultant, you will help companies design and implement a security plan that helps keep them safe from intruders. Does this sound familiar?

To obtain a job in this field, you will need a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.

Approximate salary: $80,000

Intelligence Analyst

Many people who served in this capacity in the Military are unaware that similar jobs exist in the civilian sector. Did you know that you can put your skills to good use as you help solve crimes? As long as you have experience to go along with good research and decision-making skills, you can help both local and national law enforcement teams.

Approximate salary: $69,000

Hi
i am 14 years old i live in Australia when i am 20 i would like to be in the US millitary. Working on the big AC130 Gunships.
i was just wondering if you guys will still be flying those.
