The Poinsettia Bowl is the fifth football bowl that the US Navy football team has played in a row, which are fantastic stats for the US Navy football team. The football game will be played on December 20, 2007, and will be aired on live television, courtesy of ESPN. This is quite an accomplishment for the Navy football team, as they are hoping for a big win over the Mountain West team that will be the other football team invited to play in the Poinsettia Bowl against them.

In recent football games that the US Navy has played, they have won against such accomplished football teams like North Texas, and a highly –acclaimed win against Notre Dame the week before.
