Air Crew Navy Education Program

There are a lot of different Navy specialties that an enlisted person can participate in; none are as challenging or as competitive as the Navy Air Crew candidate program. Some people believe that serving in the Navy on an Air Crew is an easy job, but nothing can be further from the truth. It is a highly competitive specialty, and everyone who wants to be a Navy Air Crewmember has to go to specialized school located in Pensacola, Florida. It is a taxing and challenging school that involves both technical training and an intense physical regime to make sure that you have the training skills and preparedness to serve as an Air Crew member with the Navy Aviation program. The Gold Navy AC wings are difficult to earn, but they are something that is worn with pride. Passing Air Crewmember School is an achievement in itself; it is not for the faint hearted. It is a school that is intentionally made daunting and difficult, where you will be tested repeatedly in physical challenges and in intense classroom and simulated battle training. Before a candidate is even allowed to attend Navy Air Crew Candidate School, they have to complete a level two-swim test while they are still in boot camp. Many people can swim, but are not able to swim at the level needed for the NACC school program. Are you interested in an exciting career in the Military? See if you qualify. Click Here Now! All levels of the physical requirements must be passed with a “Medium –Satisfactory” level before a candidate can advance. The tests are weighted for age, and sex. All candidates must also pass a Navy flight physical prior to ever heading to NACCS School in Florida. The school and flight school in general is an all-volunteer endeavor, not everyone is cut out to be Navy Flight Crewmembers. After qualifying to attend the school and at the beginning of their training, candidates are told that they can drop out at any time for any reason, in that respect it is similar to the program that the Navy SEALS undergo. Only the best and most qualified advance and make it to Navy Flight School Graduation. Others are quietly dropped from the program and return to other duty in the Navy. Missions that Navy Flight Crew members face differ a lot, but they run the full gamete of missions that Navy Aviation and flight crews face around the world.
