The image of the frail woman has long since been shattered. No place is this more obvious than when you look at the United States Navy. There are many roles which are being filled by women which traditionally have not been filled by females. These jobs are not only important to the Navy; they are often jobs which help those in need. The job of US Navy Diver is a job which many women are proud to work in.
What You Will Do
If you are selected to work as a Navy Diver, there are many tasks you will be asked to complete. The majority of the tasks you will complete will include:
– Ship and submarine repair
– Salvaging lost or missing equipment or vessels
– Working in or living in deep water for extended periods of time
– Diving deep in the name of science and highly classified missions
Get the Training
In order to make sure you know what you are doing, you will go through extensive training. You will go through basic training like all of the rest of the enlisted personnel. You will then go through ‘A’ school training in which you will learn everything you will need to know so that you will be able to complete difficult missions at extreme depths.
